Honest contractor. Thanks for the great job.

After many years the backyard was looking pretty bad. I started the process of looking for a contractor. I narrowed it down to 3 after looking at yelp and google reviews. Lyle Lavietes was the one we selected after getting bids from all 3. To be honest, Lyle wasn't the lowest bid but he was so easy to talk to, very professional and not pushy. I had a general idea about what we wanted including water wise plants, drip watering, deck drainage, future electrical runs and a gas line for a future BBQ or fire pit. Lyle made some suggestions that made great sense. It gave me a feeling he knew what he was doing and was the contractor for the job. Together we came up with a plan and proceeded. We even were lucky that a homeowner nearby in Simi Valley allowed us to visit and see some work done by the Lavietes crew. I had no idea what type of plants to use. Lyle met us at a nursery where we selected plants based on his suggestions and our selection from those. Next we visited a masonry yard where we selected the paving stones. Based on our selections and the plan of attack we got a reasonable final bid from Lyle in a few days. In about two weeks time from initial contact the job was started. The work crew "went to town" on the backyard. They arrived on time, put in a hard day of work and cleaned up before leaving every day. Lyle was there most every day to see the work progress. The job was completed in about a month and a half from starting. This included wait time for materials because I selected a tumbled paver that needed additional processing at the manufacturer. All in all I would recommend Lyle Lavietes for landscape and pavers. The job was completed slightly less than 2 years ago (9/22) and the plants have grown especially well with the virtually invisible drip system only watering once a week! Lyle is very easy to collaborate with and is very knowledgeable. We continually get compliments about our hardscape and softscape.

Lavietes Landscape installed artificial turf in my back yard area around my pool and reconfigured the irrigation system to match the newly designed landscape. They completed the job on time, within budget and were very efficient and professional in their efforts. I have also engaged them to deliver yard mulch, fix a fire pit issue and to complete additional landscaping in and around my property. I highly recommend Lyle and his team whom, I know have been with him for many years. They are reliable, professional and clearly have many years of experience. I'm a General Contractor of 48 years and hired Lyle Lavietes to landscape and hardscape my newly remodeled home on 1857 Lookout Dr in Malibu Lake, Agoura Hills. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures to share, because it was quite a few years ago and the house was sold. What I can say is that Lyle has and excellent crew whom show up everyday till the job is done! Lyly has an excellent design sense as well as a knowledge of what plants to use in which environment. Because of the drought in So Cal, I had to do something about my water usage for my landscape. I gave Lyle Lavietes Landscape a call and he solved my problem and saved the entire look of our home. He install a drip system on my entire property, and then came back and put new sod in the front yard. I just want to say what an outstanding job that Lyle and his crew did at my home.
